The Story Behind

Casper is one of those songs born out of a moment. During one
of our jam sessions Stephen popped out this sound he liked, and
we then worked with it until its general identity was secure.
Several nights later, the lyrics hit me like a brick wall. That
night I had realized that things were going to soon change for me
and my inner circle of friends, and we would never be the same
again. In a matter of minutes, the song was written as you see it today.
The story is about movin on with life, and, although it has a
somber tone, is neither regretful or self-loathing. In fact, the
song is about preparing for the day of leaving, and welcoming it
with open arms all while knowing that you cannot be the same person
you where when you first arrived.
I guess we all carry someone with us on the inside.
